Hello,

I'm doing 2-way FSI simulation in "fake" 2D (one cell in y direction). I'm modeling a musical instrument, in which a thin brass sheet vibrates in an air flow. My meshes are enclosed:

In the full 3D case in the module "System Coupling" i'm getting 100% of nodes mapped everywhere, but in "fake" 2D in Data Transfer from air to brass these values are very poor:

Changing meshes, which have quite good quality, have only very small effect.
What can be the cause?

Best regards,

PS

In Debug Level 2 i'm getting for Data Transfer from air:
Code:
Mapping Controls (Conservative Aglm.):
DBG | Tolerance : 0.1
DBG | Pixel Resolution : 100
 | Data Transfer 2 | |
 | Percent Nodes Mapped | 15 10 |
 | Percent Area Mapped | 10 10 |
and for the opposite transfer:

Code:
 Mapping Controls (Profile Preserving Aglm.):
DBG | Tolerance : 1e-06
DBG | Edge Tolerance : 0.05
DBG | Tolerance Option : 0
DBG | Enforce Tolerance : 0
DBG | Bucket Scale : 50
 | Data Transfer | |
 | Percent Nodes Mapped | N/A 100 |
DBG | --
DBG | Badly Mapped Target Nodes (0):
I suppose it's the matter of Tolerances. How can I change them?

Solved!

Answer is simple: cell dimention in y-direction have to be very small.
