Hello, I have the following problem with ansys fluent:
All ansys workbench modules work perfectly, however, when I open the program in fluent it works extremely slow, being impossible to work with it and do nothing. It is very strange because a few days ago I could work with it properly, in fact I made several models without any problem, but now suddenly it has become extremely slow and I have not done anything strange with the computer (a lenovo intel core i7). I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the entire program (student academy 19.2) but the problem persists. I also open it using a larger number of cores but it's still the same. I don't know what to do. Any idea????? Thanks |

The problem might be somewhere else than in Fluent. Be sure to check if there are processes that hog all your memory or CPU. Another thing disturbing the process might some zombie/inactive processes that would cog up the computer.
Personally, deactivating firewall does not sound like a sound option in the long run. I would encourage you to try to find what specifically is slowing down your computer. |
