hey guys,
recently i am using ANSYS ICEM to generate a volume mesh in the bottom-up way, firstly i generate the surface mesh(mesh type all tri, mesh method dependent), secondly i generate the volume mesh from the above surface mesh by QUICK(Delaunay). Consequently, there comes a error that:there is a leak in the mesh, material point fluid.flow can reach material solid.inport. how can i solve this ? thanks in advance |

1) Better ask in the Geometry & meshing forum.
2) Did you set the values for Triangulation and Topology tighter (factor 10 smaller)? See Settings>Model (somewhere, out of my head). Try that first. 3) Did you try the Robust (Octree) method? This allows you to find the holes and repair them, either in the meshing, or at least gives you an indication where the CAD is inapropriate. |

thank you Gert-Jan for your reply.
2)i will have this tried later. 3)the Robust(octree) method has been tried, as the element number generated via this method is so many and the long time it takes, finally i have this method abandoned. |
