Hi folks,
I am really sorry to start with such a basic question, but I believe that I am simply not looking for the correct terminology... So, just in case somebody is tempted to reply with RT*M, please provide the buzz words with it! So, here's my issue: I am currently working on a transient thermal model in Ansys Mechanical (Workbench 18), in which I try to study the effect of an ice age. Basically, I vary the surface temperature of a larger block at five time steps. - Alright, that's something I can handle Now, I would like to change the temperature by +/- 10% over 5 steps and change the onset times of the temperature changes by +/- 10% over 5 steps. For each case I would like to use the same input model (material props, mesh and temperature from the same steady-state model). [Please, let me know if the above is unclear] I know that within Workbench I can manually create new models, which are connected to one starting model. BUT in the case described above this would mean creating 625 models. I am pretty sure, that I am not the first one looking for such possibilities and I would guess that this is possible in Ansys! But how is this multi case analysis called?! Many thanks for your answers! Cheers, R. |
