Hello Everyone, i need to simulate the welding process and the thermal and mechanical properties of the welded plates.
Let me explain more... Two plates which are to be welded, are placed a little apart , and a roller is modeled just above. Actually welding has to take place with the movement of the roller on the two plates. The joint is formed by the relative motion between a rotating disc, which is applied with a crushing force, and two sheet metal parts. The process is known as Friction crush welding I have prior knowledge of Ansys fluent and have worked on some flow problems. However, i am new to Ansys mechanical/structural. Please somebody having any small knowledge regarding this simulation, please come put and help me and guide me. 1. Which module should i use ? 2. Boundary conditions 3. How to provide rotary movement to roller/disc + downward force ( Using UDF ? or something else) Any small help will be appreciated to progress towards the analysis. Thank you |
