Hi,
I am unsure on how to model an adhesive that is between 2 interfaces. As a quick background, I am investigating the bonding strength of road reflectors (link below). They are installed onto road core samples by a layer of bitumen. I am going to be testing these in a compression load machine and need to model this in Ansys first. I understand it is a complex thing to model but I just need some sort of preliminary results. I have tried simply making base of reflector as a fixed support but this is not right. I need to add in some sort of 'glue' or 'adhesive' between the 2 interfaces. Can anyone help me to solve this problem or at least give me some guidance? I hope my query makes sense and look forward to peoples replies! Kane. LINK TO PIC http://tinypic.com/r/14c5e07/9 Last edited by kanemitchell99; May 31, 2018 at 10:34.
