Hello all,

I am running a MOGA optimization in Anysy DesignXplorer as part of my final year project. Unfortunately I have ran into a reoccurring problem that seems to have no solutions online. As well as this, I have looked in the DesignXplorer manual for a solution but found none.

I am running an optimization through Fluent and everything works fine in the test run and the solution looks okay. However once I begin the optimization I run into trouble, the optimization cycles through each component and then solves the case but it appears to become stuck on "Updating results component in direct optimization". At this point the results component also show a "refresh required" symbol. As well as this, when the error occurs the optimization can not be aborted and ANSYS must be force closed as it becomes unresponsive.

This is a huge problem for me in my project and particularly annoying as I can find no info about it online and also because the simulation itself runs okay, trouble only arises when it is being optimized. I have tried to alter license settings and CFD-post properties to update with design points but nothing works! Hope for anyone to be able to help me or give advice about this problem.
