Hi
I have been going through the forums trying to solve a very simple problem but have not found a solution. Using Ansys- steady state thermal, I am trying to show the heat flow (W) through a surface. The program only gives me the option to show heatflux (w/mm2), but no way of showing the total heat flow. I tried using a reaction probe but this does not seem to have the option of showing heat flow. This should be fairly simple but reading in the documentation from ansys has not helped either. Hope someone has some input to this extremely rudementary function. I cant be the only one that has tried to get this out of a simulation. |

Hi,
Have you tried to integrate your heat flux over a surface to get the heat flow ? In the post-processing section, you'll find surface integrals, define a relevant surface and integrate the flux over it. This way you'll get heat flow. Hope this will help Good luck |
