Hi all,
I'm trying to simulate punching process of a glass fiber plate with Explicit Dynamics in Ansys Workbench 17.0. I've built the plate with ACP Pre and exported it into the Explicit Dynamics (see picture). The problem is when I tried to start the simulation I always got this notification "Error! Material with invalid equation of state assigned to surface body." The material datas for the glass fiber are taken from the engineering datas library in Ansys Workbench. All the necessary datas are already available, including the failure criteria (e.g. Puck, tsai-wu, strain/stress limits) (see picture). How can I set correct the material data to get the simulation started?? Thanks in advance Last edited by asuasura; August 31, 2017 at 05:40. |

hi ,
you must change your model, to solid model in ACP. |
