Hello All,
I understand this may be an easily solvable issue, however I've looked online everywhere all day and cant find anything to suggest otherwise and I'm pretty new to using ANSYS or any design software for that matter (Student)... I've recently downloaded ANSYS 17.2 student addition for my laptop which has been installed fine and it even runs smoothly until it randomly freezes. The application doesn't shut down it just freezes and I cant click on anything. this is can happen at any point using the software, whether it be flicking between windows or even before or after meshing. Now I fully understand that these kind of software packages aren't really meant for laptops but for what I'm using it for it should be okay. The specifications for my laptop are as follows; Dell Alienware R2 15 Windows 10 Processor - Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ Processor - Quad-core - 2.6 GHz / 3.5 GHz (Turbo Boost) - 6 MB cache Memory (RAM) 16 GB DDR4 Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M (3 GB GDDR5) Storage - 1 TB HDD, 7200 rpm - 256 GB SSD Any help would be much appreciated !!! and THANK YOU!! |
