peakay is on a distinguished road
I made a simple assembly consisting of a cylinder enclosed by a box without top roof and did a normal mesh, applied heat flux at bottom of box and convection at remaining faces. Entered 10 steps in step controls. solved only for temperature which showed a general error stating," An error occurred while starting solver module. Please refer to troubleshooting section in the ansys workbench module".

Also in workbench the error stated,"Error updating cell Solution in system Transient Thermal. View the messages in the Mechanical editor for more details".

I am new to thermal analysis so if anyone could tell me what i am doing wrong or is there something wrong with the software.

Thanks
