Hello all,

I have a Windows 8.1 64 bit system. I recently downloaded the ANSYS student version 16.2 along with the license file. Followed all the three steps as per ANsys/student portal guidelines. And then when i look for the file Workbench 16.2, i can't seem to find it in my system.

I may sound stupid as this is a pretty basic thing, once you install something you should be able to find out the launcher icon, not in my case. As you know, Windows 8.1 doesn't have a Start up menu (I don't consider the Start page as start up menu). So, the workbench is neither in the Start page, nor in the ANsys Inc folder within the Program files folder in C drive. I checked control panel>>Programs.....ANSYS is not there, however there is an uninstall.exe file residing in the ANSYS inc folder. So, i uninstalled the software once, it was successfully uninstalled. Then installed again, without any luck.

Apologies for the long post, its just so frustrating, sch a basic thing.
