Hello,
I am trying to simulate metal bar twisting through a set of rollers, but can't get past the first stage at all. See attached album for an idea of what I am trying to achieve: http://imgur.com/a/XkhIK The general outline is a set of grooved and flat rollers, with another set behind it offset at an angle (in this case 34 degrees). The models had been imported from solidworks, and the rollers are mated tangentially to the top and bottom faces of the bar. To start off with, I am trying to just simulate going through one set of rollers, without the twist, and I can't even get this right. Upon adding roller rotation, and bar displacement along the X-axis, I end up with the rollers just expanding. I had followed a number of tutorials and I am unable to see where I am going wrong. Here's another album to show what happens to the rollers: http://imgur.com/a/IUfx6 And here are a few of the tutorials I had followed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-ToRXTvl3A, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7IWSIPy4fU, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M82i3msJgVw Any help on this would be greatly appreciated |
