cfd_online_mesh.jpg Hi I am working on creating a mesh for a wedge type geometry in ICEM CFD. I am getting very weird shaped mesh at the axis. Overall quality in this region is also very poor. I hope someone can suggest what should be done. Is there anyway to improve the overall quality? Are there lots of numerical errors which can arise due to such a mesh? Is there a methodology to be followed for wedge type mesh especially at the axis? A little more on what I am working on:I wish to make a section of a ribbed geometry to solve in CFX. My plan is to create an axisymmetric geometry and apply rotational BC at the wedge faces and translational BC at the front and back face All suggestions are welcome!!! |
