Hello everyone,
First, I imported a geometry from ANSYS Maxwell 14.0 in STEP format for axisymmetric cylindrical about Z drawn in 2D design for simplicity and imported the Thermal Link file, after running the electromagnetic simulation, in xml format. In ANSYS Mechanical, I used Steady-State Thermal module and when trying to import the geometry, it automatically creates a rectangular coordinate geometry in 2D and lost the cylindrical axisymmetric system generated by Maxwell. Question 1: it there a way to tell ANSYS Mechanical that the imported geometry should be as it is in cylindrical coordinates? Question 2: next, in ANSYS Mechanical 15.0, 2013, I could not add/find 'Imported Heat Generation' component to import the Volumetric Loss through Thermal Link file. Could you help me figure out how to figure it out, please? I watched the webinar below but it was for Mechanical 2009 where you could add from Steady-State Thermal, right click -> 'Imported Load' -> 'Imported Load Transfer Summary' but I could not find it in Mechanical 2013. http://www.ansys.com/Resource+Librar...ysis+-+Webinar Thanks alot, |
