Hi All,
I am trying to simulate an FSI with workbench ansys. A standard plate in a domain with Velocity inlet en pressure outlet. I used fluent and static structural in workbench. Fluent simulation is done very well, but I have a problem to run static structural. In the structural, I imported both domains and suppressed the fluid domain after generating mesh, I need to import pressure data; Project>Model>Static Structural>Imported Load (Solution) >Imported Pressure It says its loading and retrieving data. But after loading I receive a message with the following error. An error occurred while trying to read the CFD result file. Please delete the load and try again. Tried working with CFX, simulation goes well, however same error. Tried multiple geometries and still the same. Anyone can help me or got ideas? I used the same method and coupling as in this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UTc...ion_4200163015 Thanks! |

Could be licensing... with Mechanical open, try opening the CFD Solution cell so that CFD-Post opens. That's what's happening in the background when you try to import the pressure load.

Tried it, and it has no effect. Also looked at the available licenses and no problem there. I am going to reinstall the software and see if the error will be gone. Thank you for your reply.

Reinstalled three times... still not working.
But I found out that Ansys is reading the CFD post engine.exe. C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v162\CFD-Post\bin\winnt-amd64\PostEngine.exe so I tried to run this file and get the message. The program canīt start because libCUEPostEngine.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. However reinstalling has no effect. Running any other .exe files in C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v162\CFD-Post\bin\winnt-amd64\ results in different missing .dll files. For example PostGui_ogl.exe ---> libCUEGuiViewer.dll is missing. Any body ideas? Possible to obtain this files in another way. Thanks |

Trying to launch PostGui or PostEngine directly won't work. These exe's are run when you start CFD-Post, but you shouldn't try to run them by themselves. I assume you can load the CFD results into CFD-Post without any problems? That it what happens in the background when you run the mapping.
You could try manually mapping the results. Download the Fluent FSI training lectures from the ANSYS customer portal (search for Fluent FSI 16.0). In lecture 8 looks for "Manual Export from CFD-Post". |
