Hello,
I'm a student studying mechanical engineering and i'm currently in my final year. I am doing simulations on composite pressure vessel and trying to find the first ply failure of the said vessels in order to compare it to the past research papers. However, I'm a bit confused about how to get the first ply failure pressure. Do I just keep increasing the pressure till only the first ply starts to fail? Is there a faster method to do it as the aforesaid can be tedious? I'm currently using ANSYS ACP. Any help would be appreciated. Thus far, here is a picture of the model and I always get alternative layers failing. So if the first layer fails, the second layer will be okay and then the third will be bad again and so on First Ply Second Ply |
