hello,
As, I am started using Ansys for my research i have a doubt is how to input the temperature which is varying over time like ambient temperature or can i input sinusoidal temperature pattern for analysis of my material. I am studying the behavior of material exposed to high atmospheric temperature to analyse its insulation. So, please anyone can clarify me how to do it. |

Hi,
This doesn't seem too complicated to achieve.. for instance, use function/ expression (create a sinusoidal/ time-based temperature CEL) instead of constant value when assigning temperature in CFX. The syntax should not be that difficult to find both here in the forum or a quick google search. Though I believe to study insulation behavior w.r.t dynamic change in ambient temperature as you intend to would be a next step (if at all) to separately evaluate the material at an array of different ambient temperatures for initial idea/ conservative bench marking. Cheers. |
