Hey!
I am new to ANSYS and I have encountered a big issue :P I want to split a face (which is a ring) into two rings. I figured out that I would draw a Sketch on a plane of that ring and then use "Face Split" function to split it, just as I did it with points numerous times. After I draw the circle I tried to use "Face split" but the system does not allow me to pick the sketched line as "Tool". I also tried using "Line from Sketch" function, but it didn't help. What should I do? Here's the pic EDIT: found the solution, please delete the thread |

Can you please post your solution? Other people have the same problem (including me) and would like to know how you did it?

In Gambit, you can split surface with edges.
