Hello,

I need some help, I'm very new in CFD field and I have to study my graduation project in Ansys, and unfortunately, this is my first time to use it.

I created a UAV model in Solidworks and import just the wing in Ansys, my problem is I want to calculate the effect of flying under the max velocity in the wing spar, its fixed exactly at the red arrows, in other words I want to calculate the max stress and deformation occurred due to the max lift on the wing



my ultimate goal is to study the whole UAV in Ansys and calculate CL & CD.

How about you start with a simpler model. Try progressing from individual effects to a combined model. Let's say:
- a simple solid 3D wing in CFX/ FLUENT to acquire aerodynamic coefficients providing Lift/ Drag/ Normal/ Axial forces
- Same as above but this time with variation in aileron angle (at different subtended angles)
- Structural failure analysis (elasticity limit) of a single aerofoil rib
- Factor of safety in comparison to the forces acquired form CFD
- Structural failure analysis of simply subtended hollow wing (one end fixed beam), again using CFD loads
- Finally a complete structural & fluid (FSI) analysis with quite a few benchmarks/ references in hand from above steps

Nevertheless, there are a number of FSI (basic to intermediate level) tutorials on the web and more conveniently one or two in ANSYS help; which would surely kick start it all for you.
