Hi there,

My simulation case is a porous core containing a liquid. The outer pressure is slowly decreased and I want to study the gradient of the pressure in the core. This works fine. Now to spice thing up: The liquid contains gas, which at a lower pressure will start to dissolve - just like CO2 in Coca Cola.

The volume fraction of gas will increase when further decreasing the pressure. The volume fraction of gas follows a given function, and thus the volume fration of the liquid is also known.

However, I do not have an inlet to specify the volume fraction as a function of pressure, so I need to specify the volume fraction in the whole core as a function of pressure. I can only specify volume fractions as initial conditions in a domain, regardless of CFX or Fluent.

Ideas or comments anyone?

Thanks,

Morten
