I am trying to simulate a flow through a cylinder. I generated a 3D grid using ICEM-CFD and imported it to FLUENT 13.0. The grid comprises of two parts: a circular inlet with a swirler, and a cylinder. I am defining the walls on both the geometries as interface and then attaching them using the mesh interface tool in FLUENT. After doing so, I perform mesh check and get following warning:
WARNING: left-handed faces detected on zone 14: 1009810 right-handed, 954 left-handed. WARNING: left-handed faces detected on zone 20: 22377 right-handed, 19 left-handed. WARNING: left-handed faces detected on zone 11: 1320 right-handed, 1 left-handed. WARNING: left-handed faces detected on zone 3: 160 right-handed, 2 left-handed. WARNING: left-handed faces detected on zone 12: 14666 right-handed, 31 left-handed... Zone 19: 5 cell(s) might not be closed, e.g. a face is missing (on 0)........................ Done. WARNING: Mesh check failed. I did all the things suggested on this forum using TUI commands but this error still persists. If anyone has come across such error and has suggestions to overcome it, I'll be very grateful! Thank you! |
