Hello all!
I am working on procuring DM, but for now, the company I am at does not have it. I have a 3D model created in NX (Unigraphics). I am trying to figure out how to import 2D geometry (cross-section) into Workbench (or import the 3D and convert to 2D in WB w/out using DM). This is what I have tried so far: 1) I have tried saving the section curves in NX first and then change my Analysis type (in WB) to 2D and toggled off "Solid bodies" and "Surface bodies" and toggled on "Line Bodies." I receive an error when I import and try to launch Mechanical Application."Plugin Error: No Valid Bodies Found." 2) Import 3D geometry with Analysis type set to 2D-->Same error. Any thoughts on how I can accomplish this? Thanks. |

Did you find a solution? I've spent days with this. I see people doing it in tutorials but can't do it myself! Please help.
Thanks. |

Got it!
Make sure the 2D surface is on X-Y plane! |
