I am trying to implement the Population balance modules in FLUENT. The problem I am trying to solve is a simple case of growth. I have tried to solve the problem using discretization, method of moments and qmom. They have failed to converge. I have also tried to tune the under relaxation factors to no help. The case I have tried to implement is given in the attached file and has been implemented in literature (Marchisio et. al. (2003); size independent growth; pg. 1271).
Kindly suggest further action. Marchision and Fox, (2003), "Quadrature Method of Moments for Population-Balance Equations" AIChE |

Hi bro,
We know that in breakage there would be a definite integral. How do you deal with this? Using numerical integration? Thanks |
