I am trying to find the temperature distributions in the laminate and tape during a laser assisted tape placement process. I want to keep the mesh fixed but the material moving (Euler formulation). I made the 3D model, applied all thermal loads but I cannot prescribe the material velocity. If I run a transient thermal analysis, the temperatures I get are actually a steady state temperature distribution because the tape and laminate are not moving. Can someone give me a tip how to do a thermal analysis with Euler formulation? The tape and laminate are both solids (not fluids).
