I am trying to do a Boundary condition check on my structure.
I am analyzing shear/normal stress on the middle fiber at the center of the structure.(5th row from top or bottom at the center) I defined a path along the left edge of the middle fiber, just bordering the gap, and mapped shear stress onto it. However, when I plot the graph, I do not get ZERO shear along that edge as expected. Am just wondering how ANSYS is calculating the stress and how it is interpolated. I have attached some graphs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Akoth |
