I want to perform the CFD simulation of 2D airfoil such that:
  • The angles of attack (AOA) varies automatically (not the flow AOA but the airfoil mesh itself changes its angle).
  • The mesh changes accordingly follow the airfoil walls, boundary layer keep intact.
What should I have to do to perform this analysis?
  • using fluent and its UDF or
  • Using workbench environment.
Suggest me. If anyone have performed alike task, can share it (if possible).

I have a script that

imports stp file (containing airfoil made in CATIA)
meshes around it using ICEM
computing the solution in FLUENT

If you have this knowledge I see no reason you couldn't edit the CATIA model to an aoa then import and analyse.

It is a bit of a task to get it all automated but it is possible.
