I set up the periodic under mesh tab=>global mesh setup=>setup periodicity.
After initialization, I made periodic vertices under "edit block" tab. However, the faces are not periodic after I made all vertices periodic ( as mentioned in help menu) . A little investigation showed that only " Mapped " type surface block could be periodic after making 4 vertices periodic. I need to make a " free" type surface block periodic and it does not work even though I made all vertices on the face block periodic. Are there any way to make two free type surface block into periodic pairs? Second question is how to make surface mesh periodic then I tried to generate the surface mesh for all the surfaces and then use Dulaunay to fill the volume. However, I check the generated surface mesh on periodic surfaces, it's not periodic. I check the total elements on a pair of periodic surface, it's different. How to generate periodic surface mesh? I ran octree periodic is fine, and I noticed that one of the periodic surface have to be in line with XY, YZ, or XZ planes. Is that correct? -- Sincerely, Ming Cai Last edited by mingersai; February 5, 2012 at 02:41. |
