Hello, my task is very simple: It is necessary to create mesh of several connected (through the fasteners) parts .
Parts will be modelled by 2d(shell) mesh and fastener modelled by 1d elemten (node to node connection). So, I need nodes in parts in appropriate position for fastener connection. In Patran and FEMAP it can be done by hard points, but I'd like to do it with ICEM. Please can anyone help me with my task? |

Sure, if you have your settings => product set to "FEA", the mesh tab will have options for bolt spiders and other connectors (spot welds, seam welds, etc.)
You can also just create line elements between notes and assign ridged (or weighted rigid or beam or spring, etc.) properties to them.

Simon, thank you for your answer.
But I can't find such function which allow me automatically place nodes in appropriate positions (pre defined before, for example using points on surface). May be ICEM can't do this? |

If you put a point on a surface (you can create these many different ways including uv of the surface or xyz in space), the mesher will automatically create a node at that location... The connectors tools will let you select those points or seam curves or what ever for connectors, etc.
