Hi all,
I have following problem with Gambit since this weekend: Locating Exceed installation ... Launching Exceed 13 ... Starting C:\Fluent.Inc\gambit2.4.6\ntx86\gambit.exe -device open -id default_id5596 -new ... FATAL ERROR: Could not obtain valid license authorization. Total of 0.02 cpu second(s), 102400 maximum memory. *** Cannot connect to license server The server (lmgrd) has not been started yet, or the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the port or hostname in the license file has been changed. Feature: gambit Server name: VMEERTENS-PC License path: C:\Fluent.Inc\license\ntx86\..\license.dat FLEXlm error: -15,10. System Error: 10061 "WinSock: Connection refused" For further information, refer to the FLEXlm End User Manual, available at "www.macrovision.com". *** Cannot connect to license server The server (lmgrd) has not been started yet, or the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the port or hostname in the license file has been changed. Feature: gambit-addon Server name: VMEERTENS-PC License path: C:\Fluent.Inc\license\ntx86\..\license.dat FLEXlm error: -15,10. System Error: 10061 "WinSock: Connection refused" For further information, refer to the FLEXlm End User Manual, available at www.macrovision.com. I don’t really know what happened, but it just stopped working overnight. I’ve tried to change the ports in the license files, but I can’t get it running. After re-installing gambit and the license server, I still had the same problem. When I use the command lmutil lmstat -a in the command prompt I only get c:\>lmutil lmstat –a lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2006 Macrovision Europe Ltd. and/or Macrovision Corporation. All Rights Reserved. Flexible License Manager status on Thu 1/29/2009 12:52 It should be more like: :\>lmutil lmstat -a lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2006 Macrovision Europe Ltd. and/or Macrovision Corporation. All Rights Reserved. Flexible License Manager status on Thu 1/29/2009 12:52 [Detecting lmgrd processes...] License server status: 8224@my_lic_server <- Name of server License file(s) on my_lic_server: C:\\license.dat: <- License file location on server my_lic_server: license server UP (MASTER) v10.8 <- lmgrd version Vendor daemon status (on my_lic_server): <- the daemons running armlmd: UP v10.8 <- daemon version Feature usage info: <- list of components and current users Users of compiler: (Total of 1 license issued; Total of 0 licenses in use) So I don’t know what the problem is. But anyway, I have started to use workbench now. I have read that the FE Modeler can be used for importing the .dbs file. Does anyone have experience with this? Sincerely, Vincent Last edited by vmeertens; November 23, 2011 at 03:27. |

It seems that the license probleme is also linked to Fluent. None of the programs work.
But ansys workbench isn't affected. Maybe a reinstall of fluent and gambit will fix the problems. |
