Dear all:
I have a 3d model of perforated plate with 459 small holes. I need to set up a size function to mesh the upper surface of the plate with useing the edge of the holes as sources. But there are 459 edges and unfurtainatley they are not named continously as edge.1 edge.2 . In face they are named as "edge.1" "edge.3"..... So how could I add these 459 edges as the source of my size function at once? Is there any idea? I do not want to add them by hand one by one since I am in faction working on geometery optimzation which means I may rebuild the geometery later and I have to do the same work several times. Also I wrote a journal like this: sfunction create edgesource (a[1:459]) growthrate 1.2 max size 3.5 attech surface "face.660" but unluckly it does not work. the system said syntex error...... Thanks for any hints. |

can you post a picture of your plate, just to see how it looks like (especially holes number and holes diameter).
Do you still have one volume, or do you already proceed some volume decomposition? I advice you to isolate all your holes for better meshing them (min. 8 cells in diameter is recommended), then size function with holes-volume as source
