Good evening, I was hoping someone here would be able to help me with my problem...(DISCLAIMER: I'm very much a newbie at this sort of thing, so bear with me!)
I am currently attempting to create a simple mesh for a cylindrical combustion chamber, which is completely axisymmetric. I have already performed calculations for a 2D model, and am now tasked with building a 3D structured hexahedral mesh for a 30º section of this chamber. My problem lies in the setting of boundary conditions. For this geometry, an axis BC would supposedly be the appropriate to model the cylindrical repetition of this geometry, but in Fluent, no such BC is available for selection. In fact, the geometry curve I have named as a separate part, "AXIS", and which I hoped would show up in the boundary conditions tab in Fluent, as it did in the 2D case, does not. Where am I going wrong here? I have attempted to set the BC for this curve in the output tab in ICEM as well, with no success. Thanks in advance! |
