Hi guys.
I'm modeling a complicated domain consisting of more than 12-13 million cells in Gambit. The number of volumes in the domain exceeds 3000 vols. I'm working on a 8-core CPU +24GB RAM+ win xp 64 bit + Gambit 2.4.6 (I think it's a 32 bit version) and EXCEED 13. I should copy some volumes to create whole domain. After reaching the grid number to about 10 mln, while I want to save the dbs file, the gambit terminates suddenly with a runtime error. The last line in the trn file is some thing like this: ERROR: Unable to read 94371840 bytes of data from descriptor 5, instead 0 bytes were read. Does any body have any idea regarding my problem? |

for windows, I believe there is no 64bit version of gambit.
You may try to create 2 dbs files, and then export 2 *.msh files. Then you can try to append mesh files within fluent
