Hi
I'd like to ask if there is any way to create an automatic grid in cfd without having to seperates blocks and etc i want to model ventilation in a city and the model is quite complex. I have the geometry on a 3d dxf and i can import it and as different parts if it is needed (terrain, buildings). Is there also any way to apply automatically topical grid density (near buildings wall for example). thank you in advanced |

Yes, tetra prism methods will fill the volume automatically (no splitting required).
You can set base sizes on the far field, terrain, buildings, etc. You can also apply a Sizing function that would refine based on curvature and proximity. What specific tool are you using? =============== Please help guide development at ANSYS by filling in these surveys Public ANSYS ICEM CFD Users Survey This second one is more general (Gambit, TGrid and ANSYS Meshing users welcome)...
