albet is on a distinguished road
Hi guys,

I have a simple geometry of the vertical cylinder in the middle of a 3D domain with an inlet, outlet, the wall in the bed and symmetry for up and sides. I have used the ICEM o-grid for generating mesh around the cylinder.
When the mesh is very fine near the bed, in O-grid region near the bed some problems happen related to max and min angle of cells. It is down to 0 for min angle and up to 180 for the max angle, and I think it causes some orthogonality problem.
Anyway, it has influenced my results after solving the domain with OpenFOAM (the closest cell to the bed have not been solved correctly) since I want to calculate bed shear stress from the first layer of cells in the bed.
any suggestion?

Thanks,
Amir
