3D Wedge Corner Shape?

Hello All,
In Gambit, the Wedge Corner Shape option allows us to join two different boundary layer meshes by sweeping one or another around a sharp corner. This is particularly useful for joining an upper and lower BL at the sharp trailing edge of an airfoil as shown below on a 2D mesh. When trying to use Wedge Corner Shape in 3D the boundary layers do join together but they do so without the smooth rounded configuration. The cells near the sharp trailing edge simply skew drastically creating an unusable mesh. Is there a way to use Wedge Corner Shape properly in 3D or is it strictly for 2D use? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

hello,All,
i have the same question, when i join the 3D boundary layer , so i want to know, how to set the gambit, and then mesh the good elements? WARN: The interior angle of volume volume.2 along following edges is too large for side type boundary layer, which may generate poor elements: edge.14 helper, tienwen |
