Help neeeded for 3D taylor-couette

Hello everyone, I was trying to get some help creating a geometry for a 3D taylor-couette cell in gambit.
I'm trying to model rotating flow between two concentric cylinders - the inner rotating, and the outer stationary. I created three concentric cylinders of equal height and successively decreasing diameter, and subtracted the middle cylinder from the outer cylinder, to get my desired geometry. I meshed it and assigned "wall" as the boundary type to both cylinders, but I'm at a lost as to what to do for the fluid between them. Again, it's in 3D (even though it doesn't look like it here). Thanks for any help! |

You meshed the solid parts...
You need to mesh the fluid domain which is squeezed between the 2 solid parts (delete those 2 solid-volumes)

Max, seeing as I'm now focusing only on the fluid between the cylinders, I'm confused as to assigning the boundary layers to the four faces...I also need to be able to set the rotation speed of the inner face.

In the Wall Boundary Condition, you can define the rotation speed
