Hi all.
I am using ANSYS meshing and I need to convert a msh file into a ASCII file.I have read an earlier reply from Simon which explains how to this. I`ve tried to do it but I had no success. First I have created an environmental variable called AWP_WRITE_FLUENT_MESH_ASCII=1 in "My computer". Then I went to the mesh workbench and I then I have clicked in export-Fluent Input files. Am I doing something wrong?Anybody has a suggestion? Best Regards |

In order to complete the earlier thread:
I just want to do this because after I had created my mesh and clicked in the Mesh branch the body (a rectangular channel) with the mesh simply disappears (and I want to see how the bed of my channel is refined-I want a very refined mesh in that zone). Does anyone knows why is this happening?Any suggestions to both threads?By the way at this moment I have 3124790 elements. Best regards. |

Sorry, not sure why it isn't running for you. Maybe check to be sure you typed it correctly and check to make sure the environment variable is active.
Anyone else have any ideas? |

Hi Antonio,
It's work for me. I set the environment variable in my user name and in system. After, I restarted Ansys and it's working. Good luck

Dear all:
I don`t know why but the fact is that I have changed a little bit the geometry of my channel and now I can see the mesh. It`s very curious because now I have more elements and the mesh is "there"... I can see it...so I don`t need do export the mesh. Best regards |
