how to remove the linked bunching?

i want to remove the linked bunching in meshing parameter, because several linked bunching steps are wrong. does anybody know how to do it,thanks a lot.

it is a permanant relationship, so you might not be able to remove it.

thank you for your reply. oh, my god. should i save the block before linked bunching ? from many times test, as well as i know, linked bunching is not the friendly method as it would be for linking the parallel edges, actually, it will be used just when the corresponding node spacing of two parallel edges are not the same. but to my disappointment, many times some key linking of edges are failure.
interactively, i have to split the edges to meet the node spacing between these edges, and made the block complex. |

No, you can remove it...
At 12.1 we have fixed it so it is easy... But for older versions, it is just complaining because you are removing the link but need to replace the info with something (it ends up blank)... Tcl code abhors a vacuum So, un-check the link and then make sure you have a meshing law and numbers for h1, r1, h2, r2, etc. Then apply and it will accept it. Sorry for the hassle... |

Yes, improving the smoothing is a key theme for 13.0. We have made some interesting improvements lately.
If you have a particular example in mind, we are interested in getting some real world cases for testing the new algorithms. |

Cool, i believe that ICEMCFD can create even any kind of good quality meshes for user ,even i do not proficient with this tool. and i also hope ICEMCFD can take advantage of its merits, perfect itself, walk as far as it can. good luck, ICEMCFD.

I solved my problem. Just needed to close and open again ICEM.
Simon it's not the first time I need to adopt this strategy to fix some kind of unusual behavior of ICEM: as a suggestion I really think the stability of ICEM should something that must be really taken care of. Rob |
