Cant find any tutorials online i hope the experts can come in and help me create a 3D Cgrid strutured mesh over an airfoil and hope this thread would be like a tutorial for it. The mesh i want to achieve looks something like this
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...l-meshing.html I am using ICEM cfd now and i have started to Import the airfoil coordinates and drawn using spline to trace over the airfoil. The airfoil domain is also created. To import the airfoil coordinates i used Import geometry formatted data point Then points and spline lines are used to create the airfoil and domain. The airfoil trailing edge has been slightly modified and is replaced with a straight line instead of a sharp edge. Would like to know how should i proceed from here to create the blocks and create a mesh. Would prefer the approach of creating a 2D mesh then extruding it 3D by 1m. Thanks. Hi,
for CFX you have to extrude your mesh by one cell to solve it. The blocking will depend on your chosen mesh. There is an example of a C-Mesh April 24, 2007, 19:47 Airfoil meshing Good luck. Btw, Tutorials are recommanded to do. The 2D Pipe and 2DCar in ICEM will definitly help you. |
