i am using the icem cfd for geometry and meshing and now i have created the mesh in the icem and now i am storing the mesh in unstructured form. but i want to save or store the mesh in the .cfx5 or .cfx or .mesh form so i can import the mesh in the cfx11.0 . if there is any procedure please suggest me.

thanks

Assuming you are using ICEM CFD 10 or 11...

Go to the Output Tab, and pick the first icon "Select solver".

Choose ANSYS CFX for CFX 5, or you can scroll down to CFX4 or whatever (there are about 100 supported solvers).

Hit Apply.

Next go over to the next ICON and setup boundary conditions…

Save the project.

Finally go and click “write input” and fill out the form to create your CFX-5 file.

Don't forget you can always call techsupport... 1-800-937-3321 or email questions to techsupp@ansys.com
