After just two days online with this ANSYS meshing sub-forum I already see a problem. ANSYS has several meshing softwares (Gambit, ICEM, ...) and it should always be clear which software a certain thread is about. We can add a required prefix for all threads here so that everyone who posts a message has to specify a prefix showing which software the message is about. But please help us to define which prefixes we should use? Clearly Gambit and ICEM are two possibilities, but do we need any more prefixes? We should use as many prefixes as is required, but keep the number of prefixes as low as possible to make it easy to overview.

Hi gskillas,

I have just added "GAMBIT", "ICEM", "TGrid" and "Other" as available prefixes to selct when posting a new thread in this forum. That should help reduce the confusion. Thanks for your advice.

Hi,
Is there a way enforcing people to give one prefix?
I mean no possibiliy to post if none is selected?
Cheers

We could enforce a prefix so that it is impossible to post without selecting a prefix. Do you suggest that we do that on the Ansys meshing forum?

From my side yes.
Then a email notification for forum subscription with Prefix-filter would be great.
I work only with Gambit....
