Default Issues with Automatic Mesh Update for Parametric Geometry in Workbench

Hi everyone!

I'm working on a geometry optimization problem. I've already parameterized my geometry, and it seems that the script generating the geometry is working as expected. However, when I change a parameter value in Workbench, the mesh doesn’t automatically update. I’ve tried using a script to generate the mesh, but it seems that part IDs change each time I modify a parameter in the geometry. The named selections also don’t automatically update.

Since it stops me from automatically generating the mesh, I'm unable to run automatic simulations for each variation of a specific geometry parameter. I believe that if I can get this automatic meshing sorted, I’ll be able to move on to the next step of running simulations while varying the parameters.

Does anyone know how to help with this? Which path should I follow?

Thanks in advance!

It seems you're encountering a common challenge in parametric modeling and meshing: ensuring that mesh updates automatically when geometric parameters change. This is crucial for efficient optimization studies. Make sure that the "Update Mesh on Geometry Change" option is enabled in the Meshing settings. Check your scripting to ensure that your script accurately reflects the parameter dependencies in your geometry. Hope this help.
