Hi,

I am doing 3D mesh on naca65-009 compressor blade in ICEM. i as shown in the pictures orthoganal quality is very poor on the blade surface.

1st create a 2D mesh and then i extrude 185mm. Eventhough i associate edge to cure and faces to surfaces. i still can not get the orthogonal quality from 0.0014 to 0.1
i did even increase the number of nodes on both x and z direction but no improvement.

My 1st layer thickness on the blade is 8.06e-06 and growth ratio is 1.15.

(quality-0.77 , skewness-0.75)

can someone please help me on this? it is urgent and i spend so much time to solve this issue.

Could probably due to block in LE and TE of the airfoil being so squished, try to move the boundary layer vertices away from the airfoil.
Very low 1st layer t/c also could lead to this, I still don't have an answer nor suggestion for this though.

You can send your files at alain.islas@gmail.com. I can take a look at them and see if I can do something
