Hello everyone!
How can I generate a hexahedral mesh for my ribbed bend in Ansys ICEM?
I have generated hexahedral elements successfully for the whole bend but at the rib section, the mesh is bad! (Please see the attached figures)
could anyone help me!

Regards.

First, you'll need to introduce an O-Grid along the pipe. Otherwise you'll get skewed elements (see Pic 4).

For the rib, split the blocks appropriately at that zone. Don't forget to associate the corresponding edges.

Hello,

There are several tutorials on YouTube on how to do this with a straight pipe, but the process will be more or less the same. Here is one such tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7BdQnuutnQ
