I am solving a heat transfer and fluid flow problem of an annular pipe with a helical wired insert fitted on the inner circumference for turbulence. The problem to be solved is with periodic condition considering only one pitch length of the annular pipe. I am able to successfully mesh the created geometry before applying the Match control on the Inlet and Outlet boundary. But as soon as the match control is applied, there come different errors. I am getting a weird cell structure on the Outlet / Inlet face one of which goes missing in Failed Mesh preview also.
I have tried meshing it by default, using advanced Size functions, Using Multizone method, Inflation layers, Using Face Sizing, minimum element size, and Edge sizing options also, But everything fails and shows one of the following error messages: 1. One or more surfaces cannot be meshed with acceptable quality. 2. Multizone block decomposition failed. Can anyone please suggest me how to successfully mesh this component with Match control On... So that periodic conditions can be applied in the Fluent. I have attached the geometry, failed mesh screenshots and error messages that I got for your reference.... Please let me know if you need further details on this from my side. Looking for your valuable feedback and response for making it a success |
