[ICEM] Mirror mesh - Cell is missing face

Hi everybody,

I mirrored my structured 3D mesh, but I get an error message for a few cells at the interface between the old and the new mesh volumes: "Cell is missing face ...".

Do you guys know how I can fix it?

Hello,

Try to associate each face to the corresponding geometry surfaces and see if that fixes the issue.

Additionally, you can run a mesh check and put the uncovered cells in a sub group to isolate the problem. You might missing some line elements somewhere along the perimeter or something doesn't have a bc tag. Posting a photo of your geometry after doing this check might help too, so see where the issue occurs.

In my mesh, all cells with missing faces are located where the hanging nodes due to mesh refinement are adjacent to the mesh mirrored duplicate. I am not sure why this is the case.

Ah, have you run the 'resolve refinements' function?
