Hello all,

we are working on cfd analysis of data center. there is a raised floor where my CRAC supply openings are there, perforated tiles connect the raised floor with data center room. we are preparing the model in spaceclaim 2020 R1. we are using interference option and share option in workbench tab. once the share operation is performed then we are assigning boundary name selection. attaching the snips for your understanding.

NOTE: it is recommended to perform share topology operation in spaceclaim workbench tab before assigning named selections. attaching the images before share topology and after share topology.

we are using the watertight meshing workflow in Fluent MESHER 2020R1. attaching the geometry in the following v-transfer link (https://we.tl/t-bnvXvB1tpH). wetransfer link contains 2 files. 1. the final geometry model with share topology and assigned name selections. 2. the model without share topology.

the model without share topology: this is attached to let fellow members to verify the geometry.

surface mesh is assigned with minimum 20 mm and maximum 500 mm for the entire domain. we are adding boundary layers as well. we are using polyhexcore mesh type cells where we are giving 2 buffer layers and 1.2 as growth rate, volume mesh size is considered as 640 mm.

problem: surface mesh is finishing in 30-40 minutes, where as assigning boundary types is taking atleast 2-3 hrs and volume mesh is taking 4 hrs.

we have purchased 4 core ANSYS 2020 R1 license, we have 128 gb ram and 12 cores in our system. but fluent mesher is taking lot of time to mesh it. any recommendations and suggestions please. thankyou for your time in advance.
