Hello, any tips on creating a hex mesh for a cyclone separator?
I have tried via youtube tutorials and gotten close, but I have a few questions/concerns. I have split the geometry into several, sweepable bodies and then attempted to use edge-sizing to create the mesh (other than inlet which is multizone). sometimes the meshing works and sometimes it says the mesh failed to initialize. any ideas on why this is? I have not yet gotten all of the bodies to successfully generate mesh. secondly, this method does not seem ideal for conducting grid independence studies? as the grid is not the same size depending on the length of the edge and the number of divisions. would a better method be to control element size, keeping in uniform across all edges, and then change that parameter for each edge every time a new grid independence test is conducted? thank you |
