Hello,
I want to run a static structural simulation in ANSYS. My aim is investigate the stress induced on a geometry as a result of a certain pressure being applied. I am using the attached geometry (I will extrude it slightly first to make it 3D). I will apply a pressure BC (I have highlighted where with the black arrow). My question is where would be the best place to add fixed supports on the geometry? Thanks. |

Is the internal pressure uniform?
If so there will be zero net force on the geometry. I would just constrain a single node or vertex anywhere. displacement = 0. |
