amsys is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I want to run a static structural simulation in ANSYS. My aim is investigate the stress induced on a geometry as a result of a certain pressure being applied. I am using the attached geometry (I will extrude it slightly first to make it 3D). I will apply a pressure BC (I have highlighted where with the black arrow). My question is where would be the best place to add fixed supports on the geometry?

Thanks.

Is the internal pressure uniform?
If so there will be zero net force on the geometry. I would just constrain a single node or vertex anywhere. displacement = 0.
